Located in the Magelang Regency, Pawon Temple is located between Mendut Temple and Borobudur Temple. Made of andesite stone, this place of worship is one of the Buddhist temples estimated to have been built by the Syalendra Dynasty between the 8th and 9th centuries AD. This temple is part of the Borobudur Temple Compound, which was recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Heritage List from Indonesia in 1991 under the name "Borobudur Temple Compounds''.
